The Austrian Labor Market Service (AMS) offered less trainings in 2011. However, costs rose up to € 455m. The AMS management faces critics.

In 2011, 177,529 temporarily unemployed persons participated in trainings provided by the Austrian Labor Market Service. This is a substantial decrease against 2010, where 217,606 persons went to training units. However, costs went up from € 431m to € 455m. According to AMS, expenditures have risen because more high-quality trainings were offered.
