According to the Austrian Chamber of Labor, companies earn € 4,000 per employee. The Chamber asks for fair wages and a cut in working time.

For the Austrian Chamber of Labor, the development of wages and salaries was not in line with the company´s productivity. According to a recent study, Austrian companies earned € 40.335 per employee. This is a new record figure, the Chamber of Labor criticizes. The last record figure has been recorded in 2007 (€ 37.133). In 2009, the average amount was € 36.943.
