6500 MWh of electricity per year are generated by wind turbines in the Lower Austrian Haindorf. The energy produced is bought by the REWE Group.

Recently, cooperation between the REWE Group with Windkraft Haindorf GmbH, the first wind park in Austria which produces electricity in the megawatt class, has started. The REWE Group is involved in the two existing wind turbines with a rotor diameter of 70 meters, producing 6,500 MWh per year.
