The main index of the Vienna Stock Exchange managed to get into a top position in international comparisons. The losses caused by the crisis could be partially offset.

2010 has been a very successful year for the ATX. The growth of the index was about 17%, reaching on December 30 a year-end level of 2,926 points. The growth rate is mainly concentrated in the second half-year, because the first months were dominated by the euro crisis.
