Today, the Polish Lower House approved the controversial pension reform. With the reform, the Polish pension system will be partly re-nationalized.

At the beginning of September, Poland´s government announced that the privately managed pension funds should be transferred back to the public social security system. Now, the parliament has approved the government-authored bill. In total, 232 were in favor of the bill. 216 MP voted against the re-nationalization.
