Poland: Alpine Excluded from Tendering Procedure

After a dispute with Polish authorities, the Austrian construction company Alpine has been excluded from the tendering procedure of the national highway S8.

In 2008, the Polish government invited European construction companies for tenderings. The Southern part of the Polish highway A1, which should connect Gdank and Vienna via the Czech Republic should be built. In the end, Alpine was awarded for a € 273m contract
