Poland: Almost 2.0 Million Unemployed

In August, the unemployment quota grew to 12.5% from 12.4%.

According to the Polish Ministry of Social Affairs, 1.98 million unemployed persons were registered at the end of August. This was an increase by 15,500 persons against the previous month.

However, also the number of vacancies was up. Against July, the vacancy number grew by 10.6% to 82,300. This corresponds to an increase of 7,900 jobs.
