Today, Erste Group Bank AG made interest payments amounting to € 98m to the Republic of Austria. The respective amount corresponds to the 2011 yearly interest on the participation capital (total: € 1.22bn) provided by the Republic of Austria in 2009. Erste Group paid interest in the same amount for the years 2009 and 2010.
