According to the Austrian subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, the takeover of the third-largest Austrian telecommunication service provider would lead to a distortion of competitions.

The Hong Kong-based Hutchison Group plans to take over Orange, the third largest player in the Austrian telecommunication market. Hutchison, which operates with its brand “3” in Austria, is the fourth-largest and thus smallest player in Austria.
