Optimism in Austria's Textile Industry

Austria's textile, garment, footwear and leather industry (TBSL) recorded more employees and annual sales above € 4bn in 2010. However, massive increases in raw material prices are cause for worry.

Overall, the 550 companies represented by the trade association of the newly merged textile, garment, shoe and leather industry of the WKÖ, generated sales for over € 4bn", said its President, Reinhard Backhausen.
