Andrea Enria, head of the European Banking Authority (EBA), claims that the banking landscape did not change sufficiently.

According to Enria, the number of banks which disappeared from the market is not large enough. Since 2008, only 40 banks were liquidated in Europe. In the US, by contrast, the number of liquidated banks comes at 500, Enria said.
