In London, the new 10-passenger gondola Emirates Air-Line is put into operation on June 28, 2012. With this installation, London receives the first urban ropeway in Great Britain. The gondola, which crosses the river Thames over a distance of 1,100 m, offers a capacity of 2,500 passengers per hour and direction.
