The chairman of Austria´s Fimbag, the state holding of nationalized banks, wants to put aside toxic assets of nationalized banks.

Klaus Liebscher suggests to create new legal vehicles for nationalized banks, in which risky and non-performing assets should be warehoused. For Austria taxpayers, this would be less expansive than new capital injections for nationalized banks.
