Almost 8,000 enterprises founded in 2010, a quarter of all Austrian start-ups, comes from Vienna.

Business in Vienna is improving. In addition to favorable economic forecasts, company-founding statistics attest to positive economic development. By the end of December 2010, 7,973 companies were created, representing a rise of 3.4% compared with 2009 (7,711 start-ups).
