Today, Hungary´s Parliament approved the budget for 2013, which contains a number of tax increases. According to critics, the budget will not hold.

The government plans a budget deficit of 3% of GDP. In order to reach this goal, a number of taxes were resolved. Besides the telecommunication service tax, the government introduced a financial transaction tax and extended the bank tax. However, the flat tax remains unchanged at 16%.
