The switch to clean energy is possible by 2050, according to a current IHS study. It is to be achieved by halving the demand for energy.

The halving of energy consumption, a 85% share of renewable energy sources, and saving of more than 90% of CO2 emissions are feasible by 2050. These conclusions are shown by a study presented by the Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) together with the initiators of the study: Greenpeace, the energy company EVN, and the union vida.
