In spite of difficult framework conditions, the foreign trade volume in January was up again. In January 2012, Austrian exports rose by 7.4% to € 9.34bn. The global foreign trade balance showed a deficit of € 0.72bn. In January 2011, the deficit was € 0.95bn.
