EU Growth Forecast: Austria Slightly Over Average

The EU Commission has revised its growth forecast for 2011 slightly upwards. Austria stays at 1.7% in the above average area.

The EU Commission forecasts economic growth of 1.7% (previously 1.6%) for Austria. For the euro zone the forecast is 1.6%, for the whole EU 1.7%.
For 2012, GDP growth is expected to increase: in Austria by 2.1%, in the euro zone by 1.8% and in the whole EU by 2.0%.
