The annual rate of change of the outstanding amount of debt securities issued by euro area residents was -0.1% in June 2013, compared with 0.1% in May.

For the outstanding amount of quoted shares issued by euro area residents, the annual growth rate increased from 0.5% in May 2013 to 1.2% in June.
New issuance of debt securities by euro area residents totaled EUR 672 billion in June 2013. Redemptions stood at EUR 716 billion and net redemptions amounted to EUR 56 billion.1
