Seven weeks after the national elections, the Czech Social Democrats (CSSD) have agreed to form a coalition with ANO and the Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL).

"It is definitely done. We have agreed on controversial areas that have lingered until now," Bohuslav Sobotka, the party chairman of the Social Democrats and potential next Prime Minister, said after coalition negotations that lasted more than five hours solving all persisting points of controversy.
