The population of the Czech Republic increased by 7.8 thousand to 10 513.2 thousand during the first three quarters of 2012.

The increase resulted not only from a positive balance of international migration (6.2 thousand persons), but also from the natural change, when the population was increased by 1.6 thousand. The number of live births was by 1.7 thousand lower as against the same period of 2011. The number of deaths was by 0.9 thousand higher. The number of marriages remained at the same number…
