Croatian Banks Record Lower Profits

In the first six months of 2012, the net income generated by Croatian banks was down by 19%. The Croatian economy is expected to shrink this year.

According to HNB (Croatian National Bank), aggregated net income of Croatian banks was € 341m. The five biggest Croatian banks Zagrebacka banka (UniCredit), Privedna banka (Intesa), Erste Group, Hypo Group and Raiffeisen have a common profit share of 93%, the Croatian newspaper “Poslovni dnevnik” reported.
