Construction cost index up 3.4% y/y

Today, Statistik Austria announced that construction prices rose 3.4 percent compared to August 2009.

The construction cost index for construction of residential buildings (CCI 2005) reached 119.8 index points in August 2010, according to calculations by Statistics Austria.

This represents an increase of 3.4% compared to August 2009 and a rise of 0.2% over July 2010.
