According to Interior Minister Tsvetlin Iovchev the security of the public order at the protests has cost the taxpayers BGN 3m.

The constant protests in Sofia are driving the Interior Ministry into bankruptcy. Interior Minister Iovchev reported that BGN 3m had been spent on overtime alone to the police force securing the public order at the protests in front of the Parliament building in Sofia. “We are looking for reserves and will demand that some of these expenses be covered by additional financing,”…
