Bulgaria: FDI Keeps Increasing

FDI (foreign direct investments) increased by € 1,229.4m in Bulgaria in 2013 while equity capital came at € 953.4m last year.

The largest investments were made in the transport sector, storage and communicatin industry (€ 428.7m) followed by wholesale and retail trade (€ 328.2m) and manufacturing industry (€ 272.6m). The countries with the largest investments are the Netherlands (€ 602.9m) and Luxembourg (€ 200.4m).

Income generated by real estate investments of non-residents came at € 141.1m.
