Foreign Banks Leaving Bulgarian Market

In the past three years three non-domestic banks have left the Bulgarian market.

As reported by news agency Focus, the Bulgarian market has been getting smaller as non-domestic financial institutes have been withdrawing. Foreign banks are still dominant in Bulgaria as their total share comes at 70.1 percent as of the end of September last year; however, their share has decreased significantly from 80 percent before the outbreak of the financial crisis.
