Borealis reported a net profit of € 107m in the third quarter of 2011 compared to € 54m in the same quarter of 2010. Overall the company announced a net profit of € 448m year to date, compared to € 200m during the same period in 2010. Borealis’ net debt position improved in the third quarter by € 17m, resulting in a gearing of 38%.
