UniCredit´s subsidiary may leave Baltic countries as well as Kazakhstan. CEO Cernko is optimistic to achieve more than € 1.0bn in profits this year.

Bank Austria is said to withdraw from Kazakhstan and Baltic countries. The subsidiaries may be sold. Bank Austria´s CEO Willibald Cernko said that all options must be analyzed. First, the market has to be eyed up. Before a sale is taken into consideration, the banks must be restructured. But Bank Austria is ready to discuss other solutions, Cernko explained.
