Austrian-Russian Friendship Society to Appoint Richard Schenz as New President

Dr. Richard Schenz has recently been appointed as new President of the Austrian-Russian Friendship Society (ORFG - Österreichisch-Russische Freundschaftsgesellschaft). He succeeds CEO Ludwig Scharinger who left office for health reasons. KR Sen.hc Richard Schenz is a Vice President of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKO). He was formerly CEO of OMV and Capital Markets Advisor to the Austrian Minister of Finance.

ORFG President Dr. Schenz praised the work of the outgoing President.

"I wish Dr. Scharinger all the best for future endeavors and thank him very much for the great work in the past years. He leaves behind an excellent society and will always be welcome as a guest in our midst".

Dr. Scharinger was awarded - together with the new Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Austria, Dmitrij Ljubinskij - the honorary presidency of ORFG.

Schenz currently holds advisory and non-executive offices at the Federal Presidency of the Federation of Austrian Industries, at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (WKO), at ICC Austria (International Chamber of Commerce), at the Infrastructure Committee of the Federation of Austrian Industries. He also is President of the Austrian-Arab Chamber of Commerce and the Austrian-Kazakh Society.
