The interest rates for German and Austrian sovereign bonds are as deep as never before. Thus, in Europe, the gap widens further.

Austrian sovereign bonds show a historically low interest rate. Today, the rate was down to 2.47% for ten-year bonds. In November, the interest rate stood at 3.85%. As a result, interest payments decreased by 35% within only six months. The interest rate for German sovereign bonds with a term of ten years decreased to 1.405%.
