After sales declined by 11% in 2009, the building materials industry suffered a new decline of 0.05% with total sales stabilized at € 3.2bn in 2010. With these figures, the industry is at the sales level of 2005. The number of employees decreased, compared with the previous year, by 3.1% to 14,328 people (-12% since the crisis erupted in 2008).
