Construction cost index 2010: increase of all three construction branches in annual comparison.

The construction cost index for construction of residential buildings, averaged over 2010, reached 119.3 index points according to calculations by Statistics Austria. This represents an increase of 3.2% over the year 2009. Concerning the cost index subdivided into the cost groups wages and material, wages increased by 2.0% and material costs rose by 4.2% compared to the previous year.…
