A simplified migration procedure for skilled workers in shortage occupations has been in place since 16th June 2012.

People from non-EU countries who have completed vocational training in one of these shortage occupations, who already have a job offer in Austria and who meet the requisite minimum number of points in terms of qualifications, job experience, language skills and age, are welcome to apply for a Red-White-Red card.
