The stop of the online petition for a parliamentary investigation committee seems to be unavoidable. The opposition claims the government is trying to “choke off” democracy.

So far, 51,000 persons have signed the online petition. The Austrian government intends to hand over the online petition to the Financial Committee, and therefore close the petition.
