The Middle Eastern airline wants to double the number of connections to Vienna. Austrian Airlines sees unfair competition.

Today, Wednesday, negotiations on Emirates’ air rights started in Dubai. In its current summer flight plan the Middle Eastern airline has raised the number of connections to Vienna from 7 to 13 per week. The increase was only granted until the end of October, now Emirates wants to receive a permanent extension. Austrian Airlines is protesting against a prolongation. The company…
