The supervisory board of Austrian Airlines decided to switch to cheaper collective agreements. The transfer of undertakings is “crucial for AUA´s survival”.

By July, the operations of Austrian Airlines will be transferred to its subsidiary Tyrolean. The small regional airline has substantially lower salaries. Compared to AUA, a pilot at Tyrolean earns 25% less on average. After several weeks of heated debates, the supervisory board of the financially stricken airline decided in favor of the transfer of undertakings.
