The Austrian technology group is optimistic that the ban will be lifted soon and that the € 330m order will be fulfilled.

The most controversial construction project in the Amazon area – the third largest hydroelectric plant in the world to be built – has come to a halt again. A Brazilian court has ordered a stop of construction works at the Belo Monte plant, arguing that the € 8bn project would affect the interests of inhabitants of the rainforest.
