Alpine to Cut a Third of its Workforce

The Austrian financially stricken construction company has to implement radical restructuring measures.

Alpine, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Spanish FCC Group, has to downsize drastically. About a third of the jobs will be cut. At the moment, Alpine employs 15,000 workers. About the half of the workforce is based in Austria. Revenues total led € 3.6bn last year.
Moreover, Alpine will withdraw from CESEE markets. The remaining core markets will be Austria and Germany.…
