Albania: Economic Growth below Potential

Structural reforms are needed to boost productivity and competitiveness and avoid weaknesses, according to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

According to a report by the International Monetary and Financial Committee of the IMF, GDP in Albania is expected to increase this year, coming close to 2 percent after reaching 1.6 percent last year and will continue to marginally grow next year.
