Record Rainfalls Caused Flood Disaster in Austria
Over the past few days, Austria has experienced extreme rainfall that has broken numerous rainfall records and led to widespread flooding. The federal states of Lower Austria, Upper Austria, and Vienna were particularly affected, with many weather stations recording several hundred millimeters of rain in just a few days.

World Association of Firefighters Assembly of Delegates Meets in Vienna
The CTIF, the International Technical Committee for the Prevention and Extinction of Fire, is holding its annual delegates' meeting in the Austrian capital. The event serves as an international exchange of experience between firefighters and experts from the fire and rescue services. The CTIF Secretary General, Ing. Roman Sykora, who is also the Chief Fire Officer of the City of Vienna - Fire Brigade and Civil Protection, has invited to the Vienna City Hall and the Vienna Fire Brigade Museum for this purpose.

Vienna Prepares for Mass Testing
The City of Vienna prepares to test its population for Covid-19. The responsible city departments, emergency organizations, and the Austrain Armed Forces have taken measures to provide test capacities for the period from December 4 to December 13. Within this period, every Viennese resident above the age of 10 is eligible for testing.
