WIFI International: Partnership with TOBB University of Ankara

The Austrian (WKÖ) and the Turkish (TOBB) Economic Chambers have signed a Letter of Intent for an educational partnership with WIFI.

On occasion of the state visit of the Turkish President Abdullah Gül to the Austrian Economic Chamber, WKÖ President Christoph Leitl and the Turkish Economic Chamber (TOBB), signed a Letter of Intent for a partnership between WIFI International and the TOBB University of Economics and Technology with the objective of a franchise partnership.

"More and more Austrian companies are establishing branches in Turkey. Against this background, the planned partnership between WIFI International and the TOBB University of Economics and Technology is a very positive sign", explained Michael Landertshammer, Director of WIFI Austria. "The internationalization of education is increasingly important", said Anton Aufner, Director of WIFI International WIFI, “We are opening the door to new growth markets for Austrian companies over WIFI International. Our main task consists in the strengthening of the performance and competitiveness of Austrian companies. Economic growth requires adequate and future-oriented education and training measures. For this reason we are also planning to include Turkey in our educational offer, as it is a large future market."

WIFI International currently operates in Croatia, Poland, Romania, the Slovak Republic, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Serbia. WIFI Austria supports over WIFI International the development of the market for vocational education and training in the Central and Southern European countries.
