The restaurant chain is expected to start growing again after a long crisis. Investments worth € 20m are planned for the current year.

Founded in 1955, the company had its heyday in the 60s and 70s. At its peak, the restaurant chain had 174 branches worldwide and employed 4,200 people. In 1983, Wienerwald had to file insolvency, which attributed to the rapid growth. Since then, continuous change in ownership followed.
