VIG Acquires Polish Life Insurance Company Polisa

The Austrian insurance group rounds off its product portfolio in Poland. Polisa generated a premium volume of € 21m in 2010.

The Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) signed a contract in Warsaw for the acquisition of at least 75 percent plus one share in the life insurance company Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń na Życie "Polisa-Życie" S.A. (in brief Polisa). The acquisition is subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.
