According to Michael Pisecky, CEO of Real Immobilien, Vienna will face housing shortages in the future. Although up to 200,000 new accommodation units will be needed in the next 20 years, Vienna only has space for 90,000 units. “The gap becomes bigger and bigger. Up to 10,000 accommodation units would be needed. However, the market only produces 3,000 units per year.”
