On the occasion of a visit in Vienna, the Turkish Minister of Economics Zafer Caglayan complains about the “disingenuous manner” of the EU towards Turkey. In the end, only Turkey will decide on the accession.

Caglayan notes that Turkey would have a right of joining the EU. “We will not give up this right.” However, it is unclear whether the accession will come. “The current situation of the EU is obvious.” Moreover, the Turkish Minister criticizes that the EU was inactive regarding the Greek crisis. “Where was the EU when Greece wasted its money?”
