In August, Slovakia´s budget shortfall increased to € 2.675bn from € 2.239bn in July.

Slovakia´s budget deficit is growing. According to the Ministry of Finance, public revenues came at € 7.105bn in the first eight months of 2012. Against the reference period of 2011, this is a decrease by 3.2% against last year. Public expenditures reached € 9.78bn, which is an increase by 4.4% against the first eight months of 2011.
