For several years, the Austrian manufacturer of glasses experienced declining sales. Nevertheless, the management is optimistic.

Silhouette´s sales are shrinking steadily. In 2004, about four million spectacle fames were sold. In 2010, the sold output was only 2.7 million frames.
The board member Klaus Schmied knows that the company currently faces serious times. After 2004, Silhouette had to report steadily declining sales. Schmied´s comment: „We are in a lateral movement.“
