In the year to May, Serbia’s current account deficit reached EUR 758 mln, down by 53.4% from the same period last year. In May 2013, Serbia recorded a surplus in its current foreign transactions amid a higher inflow of remittances and a lower outflow on account of interest payments on the one hand, and a rise in exports from September 2012 onwards, on the other.
