S&P Downgrades Slovenia

Today, the U.S. rating agency has lowered the credit rating of the financially stricken country. Further downgrades are not unlikely.

S&P has downgraded Slovenia´s long-term rating by one notch to “A-“. The short-term rating was also cut by one notch to “A-2”. At least, the outlook was reiterated at “stable”. According to S&P, the uncertain economic outlook and the growing public debt level are the reasons of the downgrade.
