The Polish government is hoping to be able to bargain prices with Russian energy giant Gazprom, Polish Minister for Economy Janusz Piechocinski announced today.

Piechocinski added that the gas market is becoming more client-friendly. "We hope that in Central and Eastern Europe the time has come to talk with Gazprom about renegotiation of gas rate because the market is becoming more friendly to recipients than to suppliers," Piechocki said.
